STARKVILLE, Miss. --- The Georgia softball team couldn't get rolling in its showing at the SEC Tournament, as the eighth-seeded Bulldogs (40-16) fell 4-2 to ninth-seeded Ole Miss (38-19) on Wednesday.

Chelsea Wilkinson (23-7) started the game, going 3.1 innings with six hits and four walks allowing runners on base. The senior gave up four runs with two being earned. Alex Hugo put up her 20th double of the year for her hit while Alyssa DiCarlo recorder her 56th RBI on her freshman year, one of the best numbers among all first-year players.

Ole Miss took advantage of an error in its first scoring frame, as the Rebels went up 2-0 in the second after a single up the middle from Elantra Cox. Another pair of scores came in the fourth with Ole Miss using small ball to put runners on to score on an Ashton Lampton single and Sarah Van Schaik groundout.

Iosefa put Georgia's first run up in the fourth, sending a 3-2 ball over the left center wall. DiCarlo then made it 4-2 in the sixth with a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Cortni Emanuel after she started the frame reaching on an error.

Georgia will await its NCAA Tournament fate, as the selection show is on Sunday at 10 p.m. ET airing on ESPNU.
