ATHENS, Ga. - The Georgia soccer team is set for its final match of the spring season, a home friendly against Kennesaw State on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET at the Turner Soccer Complex.

"We are looking forward to playing at home," head coach Billy Lesesne said. "It's always good to play in front of your home crowd and see where you're at. Kennesaw State will give us a good challenge. I think that they will really push us and hopefully give us some areas that we can work on, because that is what's most important in the spring. We want to use this last match to prepare ourselves for the fall."

Georgia is coming off of an impressive pair of matches that were played on April 9 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Bulldogs downed UNC-Wilmington 3-1 and nearly upset Virginia Tech 2-1, two teams that made the second round of the 2015 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament. The Bulldogs are 1-3-1 this spring.

Despite the close proximity of the two schools, Georgia and Kennesaw State have met only once in school history. The Bulldogs defeated the Owls 6-0 in their 2009 season opener in Athens.

The Bulldogs return a plethora of experience next season, bringing back 13 different players who started multiple games last year. Among those are All-SEC performers Caroline Waters and Sydney Shultis and leading goal-scorer Marion Crowder.
