ATHENS, Ga. -- The Georgia men's tennis team picked up three wins in singles and a trio of victories in doubles Saturday to complete Day Two at the 2016 Bulldog Scramble.

Singles play was highlighted by Jan Zielinski's win over No. 73 Carlos Benito of Georgia Tech. After winning the tiebreaker in the first set and losing the second set, the Warsaw, Poland native took the deciding third frame to win 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-2.

Zielinski, who defeated No. 58 Christian Langmo of Miami and Princeton's Tom Colautti on the first day of the Bulldog Scramble, is now 3-0 in singles for the tournament and has improved his fall record to 12-3.

"Jan is an athlete who needs to come forward and play aggressive," said associate head coach Bo Hodge, "and he's done that in the past month. He's played the best tennis I've seen him play. I'm proud of the way Jan competed. Losing the second set, coming back and playing a good third set -- it was a great effort for him."

Emil Reinberg, who is ranked 109th in the nation, defeated Wake Forest's Dennis Uspensky 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 to improve to 19-3 on the fall. Reinberg has six wins against ranked opponents so far this season.

In doubles action, Georgia picked up three wins between the two rounds on the day. The Bulldog team of Zielinski and Loeb went 2-0 on the day, picking up wins against Carlos Benito and Chris Yun of Georgia Tech (8-5), as well as Christian Langmo and Dane Dunlap of Miami (8-6). The latter victory was the result of a comeback effort after the Georgia pair found themselves down 5-4 and won four of the final five games to close out the match.

Alex Phillips and Andy Martinez also picked up a doubles win for Georgia. The duo defeated the Georgia Tech pair of Phillip Gresk and Daniel Yun, 8-5, in the first portion of doubles.

The Bulldog Scramble will conclude Sunday with one round of doubles and one round of singles. The doubles round will begin at 10:00 a.m., while the singles round will start shortly after.
