ATHENS, Ga. --- Redshirt senior Jasmine Eatmon shined in one of her final games at the Ramsey Student Center, as the Georgia volleyball team (5-22, 0-15) fell to Alabama (15-14, 9-6) 3-0 on Friday night.

After falling 25-18 and 25-16 in the first two sets, Georgia came out of the break and forced a competitive third frame before falling 25-22.

"Our whole game improved as the match went on," said head coach Lizzy Stemke. "To see numbers like we saw in set three should give us a lot of momentum going into Sunday. However, the thing about momentum is you still have to go out there and do it, but it is a really good sign that within a match we could turn the momentum around."

Eatmon led the Bulldogs with eight kills, as the California native hit .571 for the match with no attack errors. She also notched a match-best four blocks, as the Bulldogs posted two more blocks than the Crimson Tide with five.

Freshman Sarah Lagler-Clark tallied 19 assists while sophomore Kendall Kazor had 11 assists to go with six kills, four digs and two blocks. Sophomore Cassidy Anderson put up 11 digs in the back row.

Alabama had most of its damage come from Krystal Rivers, as she collected 23 kills, hitting at a .556 clip. Seven service aces also helped put the match toward the Tide.

Knotted at 15 each after a Bama attack error, Georgia fell into a deficit after Alabama rolled out a 5-1 run to climb ahead 20-16. A block from Eatmon and Kazor stopped the spree, but Georgia couldn't come back and fell 25-18.

Despite Georgia hitting .296 for the second frame, Alabama's .500 clip outmatched it, leading the Tide to a 25-16 win and 2-0 lead. Spencer, Kazor and Eatmon all had a trio of kills each while none of the three committed an attack error.

Back and forth early in the third set, Alabama got its largest lead of the frame at 18-15 after a service ace to force a Georgia timeout. Down but not out, the Bulldogs clawed back, using back-to-back blocks and a Tide miscue to tie it at 18 each. The home team stalled the Bama lead again at points 19 and 22 with kills from Eatmon and sophomore Devan Porter, respectively, but the Tide recorded the last three points of the match to seal the win 25-22.

The Bulldogs will be back in action Sunday as they take on Mississippi State at 6 p.m. ET. Before the match, Georgia will recognize Eatmon for Senior Night while the match will be aired on the SEC Network.
