Georgia Gymnastics 2015 Schedule Announced

"We are looking forward to competing against some of the best teams in the country again this year," head coach Danna Durante said. "We have an incredibly strong home schedule with three teams coming in that were on the floor at the NCAA Championship last season; I know our fans will be excited to see some high-level gymnastics in Stegeman Coliseum. We will also see tough competition on the road, which will prepare us well for postseason. Our team worked hard all summer and is continuing to work so we will be ready for our first meet against Michigan."
Other notable aspects of Georgia's 2015 schedule:
• The Gym Dogs begin the season with four meets in 15 days, three of which are at home. The season-opener is slated for Jan. 10 against Michigan.
• For the second straight year, Georgia will travel to Florida and Auburn, and will face Kentucky and Arkansas at home.
• The Gym Dogs will face Missouri in Athens this year. The two teams were scheduled to compete at Stegeman Coliseum last season, but the meet was canceled due to a winter storm across the South.
• Georgia will travel to North Carolina on Feb. 14, marking its first trip to Chapel Hill since 1977.
• The SEC Championship returns to the Arena at Gwinnett Center for the fifth time on March 21, and the NCAA Regionals will be held April 4. This year's six NCAA Regional hosts are California, Oklahoma, Auburn, West Virginia, Iowa State and Ohio State.
• The Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas, will be the site of the NCAA Championships April 17-19.
• Georgia will hold its annual Sneak Peek intrasquad meet Sunday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. inside Stegeman Coliseum.
