ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia men's tennis team remained No. 16 in this week's edition of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) team poll, while two players - Austin Smith and Nathan Pasha - jumped in the singles rankings.

The Bulldogs (7-5, 3-0) jumped from No. 35 to No. 16 last Tuesday, then stayed there after two wins over No. 17 Mississippi State and unranked Ole Miss last week. Georgia will soon get an opportunity to jump even further, as the team is set to take on top-ranked Ohio State (17-1) tomorrow. Despite suffering a loss to then-No. 4 Oklahoma last Friday, the Buckeyes stayed put at No. 1 this week.

In singles, Smith (25-9) rose three spots this week to No. 13, while Pasha (23-7) came in at No. 25 - up five spots. Other UGA players in the singles poll are Garrett Brasseaux (15-2) at No. 79 and Ben Wagland (15-8) at No. 87. In doubles, the team of Wagland and Hernus Pieters (12-8) is currently No. 21.

Ohio State has three players in this week's singles poll: Peter Kobelt at No. 9, Hunter Callahan at No. 88, and Herkko Pollanen at No. 120. The doubles team of Kobelt and Kevin Metka are No. 4.

First serve for the Georgia-Ohio State match is set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Georgia brings in a 20-match home winning streak.
