December 04, 2014 | Soccer
ATHENS, Ga. --- Sophomores Gabby Seiler and Marion Crowder represent the Georgia soccer team on the NSCAA/Continental Tire Division I All-South Region teams for the 2014 season, the organization announced this week.
Seiler was named to the second team - her first career regional honor - while Crowder landed on the third team following a second team nod last season as a freshman.
Seiler led the Bulldogs with 27 points on the season, on the strength of nine goals and nine assists. She broke the school record for consecutive games with a goal (5) and with a point (9), while her nine assists rank third all-time in program history for a single season. The Peachtree City native also led Georgia with four game-winning goals and led all field players with 1,745 minutes played.
Crowder returned from off-season ACL surgery to turn in 14 points on six goals and two assists, including two game-winners, ranking second on the team in goals and third in points. She took 32 shots and placed 15 on frame for a 0.469 clip.
Seiler and Crowder will be two of nine returning starters for Georgia in 2015. The Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 10-8-2 (5-5-1), reaching the SEC quarterfinals and the first round of the NCAA Tournament - the program's ninth all-time NCAA appearance.
