Equestrian Signs Madison Anger

ATHENS, Ga.- Georgia equestrian head coach Meghan Boenig announced that Madison Anger of Clyde Hill, Wash. has signed with the Georgia equestrian team. Anger is the daughter of Matthew and Kristen Anger and has one brother, Bennett. Her father, Matthew is the men’s tennis head coach at the University of Washington.
“Madison is an extraordinary person and rider,” said associate head coach Mary Meneely. “I have admired Maddie’s skill to ride several different horses over the course of the years and have always been impressed with her abilities. She has successfully competed on several different horses of which will inadvertently aid her in continuing her success in college. I am thrilled to have her on board and I look forward to her leadership and contribution here at the University of Georgia.
Anger will be coming to Georgia as a member of the Horsemanship team. She brings with her an impressive resume. At the 2014 All American Quarter Horse Congress, Anger finished in the top 5 in Novice Youth Western Riding 14-18, was sixth in the NYATT Showmanship, and finished in the top 15 in both Youth Showmanship and Hunt Seat Equitation 14-18. She was also the 2014 AQHA Level 1 Champion in Horsemanship and Hunter Under Saddle and was the Reserve Champion in Hunt Seat Equitation and Horsemanship.
Just a year ago at the 2013 Congress, Anger was named All-Around Novice Youth Champion of the 14-18 age group. The all-around championship encompassed her Reserve Champion title in Novice Youth Showmanship and Horsemanship, top-ten placing in Novice Youth Hunt Seat Equitation and Youth Showmanship 15-18.
In addition to a successful riding career, Anger earned the Top Scholar Award at Bellevue Christian High School and was named to the High Honor Roll, and as an AP Scholar.
