ATHENS, Ga. ---
The Georgia soccer team (10-6-1, 5-5-1) is set to travel to Orange Beach, Ala., for the 2014 SEC Soccer Tournament scheduled for Nov. 3-9 at the event's neutral site home - the Orange Beach Sportsplex.

Georgia enters as the No. 8 seed and will face off against ninth-seeded Arkansas on Monday in first round action at 7 p.m. ET. The Razorbacks are one of two teams (Auburn) the Bulldogs missed in the conference rotation this year. The winner of the Georgia-Arkansas game would face No. 1 overall seed Texas A&M in the quarterfinals.

Following the opening day of play, the quarterfinals are set for Wed., Nov. 5, the semifinals on Fri., Nov. 7, and the final on Sun., Nov. 9. Early round games will be broadcast on the SEC Network, with the championship match to air on ESPNU Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. Georgiadogs.com will offer additional live audio coverage for the entirety of the team's stay in Orange Beach.

The winner of the conference tournament secures an automatic bid into the NCAA Championships. The NCAA Selection Show is set for Mon., Nov. 10 at 4:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.

Georgia In The SEC Tournament: The Bulldogs are making their ninth trip to the SEC Tournament in the last 10 seasons and 16th overall appearance. Georgia's record in the conference tournament is 10-15-1, with three trips to the finals - most recently in 2008.

In 2013, Georgia suffered a 4-0 loss to South Carolina in the quarterfinals.

Last Time Out: The Georgia soccer team concluded the 2014 regular season with a hard-fought 2-1 loss to No. 7 and eventual SEC champions Texas A&M on Thursday night in College Station, going down 2-0 before cutting the lead in half in the second frame, but unable to equalize in the road loss.

It was sixth-year senior Laura Eddy who scored the lone goal on the night for Georgia, her first of the season, while sophomore Gabby Seiler had her team-best ninth assist on the play in addition to Marion Crowder.

About The Bulldogs: The 2014 Bulldogs return six regular starters and 17 letterwinners from last season's squad, including leading goal-scorer and All-South Region performer Marion Crowder.

Additionally, Georgia welcomed in 13 newcomers - five of whom play for their respective country's youth national team in Mariel Gutierrez (Mexico U-20), Louise Hogrell (Sweden U-19), Eli Martinez (Honduras U-20), Shayna Raekelboom (Belgium U-19), and Becca Rasmussen (United States U-18).

Georgia's 2014 schedule is again a difficult one, with the squad set to face off against eight 2013 NCAA Tournament participants.

Looking at the Razorbacks: Arkansas (8-6-5) enters as the tournament's No. 9 seed, coming off a 2-1 loss to Missouri in Thursday night's finale.

Ashleigh Ellenwood leads the way for the Razorbacks with five goals and 13 assists for a team-best 23 points. Behind her, Claire Kelley has five goals and seven assists for 17 points, while Alexandra Fischer (6g, 3a, 15p) and Tyler Allen (3g, 6a, 12p) are also in double-digit points for Arkansas on the year. Cameron Carter has seen all the action in goal, making 87 saves with a 1.17 goals-against average and six shutouts.

Georgia is 11-2-3 all-time in the series, including a 1-0 win last season in Fayetteville.

Arkansas advanced to the quarterfinal round last season in Orange Beach before making a run to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.

Next Up: Following the SEC Tournament, the Bulldogs will await their NCAA Tournament fate when the field of 64 is announced on Mon., Nov. 10 at 4:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.
