Garber-Led Bulldogs In Third At The Farm

ROCKY FACE, Ga. ---The 11th-ranked Georgia men's golf team stands third after one round of the season-opening Carpet Capital Collegiate.
On Friday at The Farm, the Bulldogs posted a 3-over-par 291. Georgia is 11 shots behind tournament host Georgia Tech and one stroke behind second-place North Carolina.
Senior captain Joey Garber paced the Bulldogs with a 1-under 71. He stands fifth individually, four strokes behind Georgia Tech's Ollie Schniederjans. Senior Michael Cromie and sophomore Lee McCoy followed Garber at even-par 72 and they are 10th. Freshman Greyson Sigg signed for a 4-over 76. Junior Nicholas Reach had the Bulldogs' non-counting score of 8-over 80.
Playing as an individual, junior Sam Straka fired a 3-over 75.
