Off week! Just what the Bulldogs needed. After two physically and emotional packed games, Georgia needed this extra rest. Some players watched football on TV, some saw family members and some just relaxed. This was a time for the players to just be themselves. As for the world of stats, they never have a week off. So I came up with some new stuff for you.

So for all you passionate fans, here are some more notes, nuggets and tidbits of information all things Georgia Bulldogs, statistically speaking of course. FOOTBALL ---

A lot of talk has been about Aaron Murray and rightfully so. The senior should break many if not all the major SEC passing records this season. One of the main ones is passing touchdowns. Currently he is at 99 and the record is 114 set by Florida's Danny Wuerffel. Here is a mini breakdown of his 99 touchdowns.

This may not be a record, but it is interesting to see. Here is Aaron Murray's stats after two games in each of his four seasons at Georgia.

Freshman:	31-47	352 pass yards	3 TD	1 INT
Sophomore:	35-58	484 pass yards	6 TD	2 INT
Junior:	37-61	500 pass yards	6 TD	1 INT
Senior:	37-52	632 pass yards	4 TD	1 INT

As for running back, here is what Todd Gurley has done through his first two games on the ground in each of his first two seasons.

Freshman:	18 rushes	165 rush yards	3 TD
Sophomore:	42 rushes	286 rush yards	3 TD

Since we looked at Gurley, let's look at Keith Marshall for the same comparison.

Freshman:	22 rushes	78 yards	0 TD
Sophomore:	23 rushes	101 yards	1 TD

Let's go back to Gurley for a second and check out this stat that I have found out. One of the greatest Bulldogs of all time is Charley Trippi. The College Football Hall of Famer and Maxwell Award winner had his fair share of great stats. But check out his career rushing totals to what Gurley has now in his short career.

Charley Trippi:	260 rushes 1,669 rush yards
Todd Gurley:	264 rushes 1,671 rush yards

Although those numbers are similar, some were not. Gurley has an impressive 20 rushing touchdowns while Trippi had 32. Trippi also was a tremendous passer and a standout defensive player as well. Then again Gurley has a lot more games left in his Georgia career.

SOCCER ---

The good news is that Georgia keeps on winning games; the bad news is Georgia let up a goal. It was on a penalty kick by College of Charleston. It was the first goal the Bulldogs allowed in 652:37 of action. Georgia still won 5-1 and with the victory they had two days earlier to Long Beach State, the Dawgs improved to 7 and 1 on the season.

Much of the Dawgs success has come from freshman Marion Crowder. Crowder had 4 goals on Sunday and another last Friday and in both games she scored the game-winning goals. She was named SEC Freshman of the Week and National Offensive Player of the Week. Georgia has had starts like this before. The 1999 and 2009 teams are the only other Bulldog soccer teams to have won 7 of their first 8 games. Here is a goal differential stat of each of those three starts to those three seasons.

Georgia opens up SEC play this upcoming week with home game against South Carolina on Friday.

VOLLEYBALL ---

Georgia added three more wins to their season total as they swept the Benson's Hospitality Group Invitational with wins over North Florida, Louisiana-Lafayette and UNC Greensboro. Senior Brittany Northcutt was named MVP of the tournament and has been a valuable player throughout her career at Georgia. As of freshman she was third on the team in kills with 302. Her sophomore season she had 306 kills and led the team. Her junior season she missed a few matches, but still managed 270 kills which was good for second place on the team. Currently she leads Georgia with 77 kills, but right on her heels is Lauren Teknipp with 75 and Stacey Smith with 70.

Georgia travels to Kansas this weekend to take on a trio of teams in the Kansas Tournament. Their next home match is October 4th against Tennessee.

MEN's TENNIS ---

Junior Nathan Pasha won the Division I Southern Intercollegiate title and the Bulldog team of Hernus Pieters and Ben Wagland won in doubles to conclude a very successful weekend for the Manny Diaz's team. This was Pieters second doubles title in this prestigious event. His first was in 2010 when he paired up with Javier Garrapiz to win the title. Here are a list of Bulldogs that have multiple titles in singles or doubles at the Southern Intercollegiates.

BULLDOGS IN THE NFL ---

Dannell Ellerbe may not be with the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens anymore, but he is certainly playing like a champion for the Miami Dolphins. This past Sunday, the linebacker registered 14 tackles in a win over the Colts. That was tied for the 5th most tackles in a game for a former Bulldog since 1994. Here are those leaders.

Knowshon Moreno is back scoring touchdowns again. Moreno scored two last week as the Broncos defeated the Giants in "The Manning Bowl." It was the third time in Knowshon's NFL career in which he had two rushing touchdowns. Here are those three games.

Before I finish this article, I want to remember former Bulldog offensive lineman Scott Adams who gave his all for the Dawgs in the late 1980s. Adams was named 2nd team All-SEC and Honorable Mention All-America for his efforts. He played 58 games in the NFL for six different teams including the Atlanta Falcons. He was 46 years old when he passed this week, but will always be a Damn Good Dog!
