Bulldogs Move Back To No. 3

ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia men's tennis team jumped back to No. 3 this week in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings after spending one week at No. 4. The Bulldogs (17-4, 9-1) - winners of eight matches in a row - clinched their 35th overall Southeastern Conference championship Sunday after two wins over the weekend on the road at LSU and Arkansas.

Individually, senior KU Singh is No. 7 in the singles poll this week followed by sophomore Nathan Pasha at No. 44, freshman Ben Wagland at No. 64, and junior Hernus Pieters at No. 121. In doubles, the team of Pieters and Wagland is No. 5 followed by Pasha and Garrett Brasseaux at No. 24 and Pasha and Singh at No. 73.

The SEC is well-represented in the team poll this week, as the league currently occupies 10 of the top-20 spots and four of the top-10. Behind third-ranked Georgia, Ole Miss came in at No. 6, Kentucky at No. 8, Tennessee at No. 10, Mississippi State at No. 11, Vanderbilt at No. 13, Texas A&M at No. 14, Florida at No. 17, Auburn at No. 18, and LSU at No. 20.

Georgia will wrap up the 2013 regular season at home this weekend, hosting Auburn on Friday and Alabama on Sunday.
