ATHENS, Ga. - Chloe Simon has become the latest member of the 2012 Georgia equestrian team spring signing class.
"Chloe brings a new dimension to the UGA equestrian program," assistant coach Lisa Anderson said. "She has been very competitive on jumpers as a junior rider and has an effectiveness on the horses that will benefit this team. I am really looking forward to working with her next season!"
Simon has a diversified riding history, the focus of which has been hunters and jumpers on the New England show circuit
The Manhasset, N.Y., native has excelled in the classroom as well as the ring, having been named to the Honor Roll for three-consecutive years. In 2011, she was named to the Paul D. Schreiber Principal's Honor Roll, an honor awarded to students with a 4.0 GPA or higher.
Simon chose Georgia based on its nationally-ranked equestrian team and the Terry College of Business. She is the daughter of Sabrina and Steve Simon.
