Soccer To Take On Auburn In Atlanta

ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia soccer team is gearing up for its third spring game, heading to meet SEC rival Auburn in a neutral-site meeting Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross.

Georgia and Auburn played to a scoreless draw in the 2011 regular season, though the Bulldogs still hold a slim edge in the all-time series with the Tigers at 9-7-2. Auburn’s lone spring game to date resulted in a 2-1 home win over Mercer on Feb. 18.

The Bulldogs are 2-0 so far this offseason after a 1-0 win over Florida State in Athens and a 2-1 win over Clemson on the road.

Georgia finished the 2011 season at 13-7-2 overall (6-3-2 SEC) and ranked No. 28 in the final Top Drawer Soccer poll.
