ATHENS, Ga.--The University of Georgia softball team split its two games on Sunday with a 10-1 win over Campbell (1-3) and a 3-2 loss to NC State (3-1) in the final day of the Red and Black Showcase.

Sunday's results move the Bulldogs to a 4-1 mark for the season.

For the day, junior Tess Sito led the team offensively with a .500 batting average with three runs, three hits and two RBI. Freshman Gracie Goulder followed, posting two hits and one run while senior Ashley Pauly collected three hits. Freshmen Anna Swafford and Niaja Griffin were both a perfect 2-for-2 on stolen bases during both games.

Game One-Georgia 10, Campbell 1 (6 Inn.)

After going two scoreless innings to open the game, the Georgia's bats came alive against Campbell to take the game 10-1 in six innings.

Sito took to the circle for the first time as a Bulldog this weekend to earn her first victory after striking out seven and giving up two hits. Campbell's Christina Melton (1-1) took the loss after 2.2 innings of work and allowing four runs on three hits while walking seven.

The offense started scoring in the third inning when Griffin came home off of a Sito double. After a Kristyn Sandberg walk, Paige Wilson singled before a throwing error by the Fighting Camels scored Sito and Sandberg. With bases loaded, Brittney Hubbard walked to lead Wilson home and put Georgia up 4-0.

Pauly singled up the middle in the fourth before eventually scoring on a Sandberg single. Wilson then hit a sacrifice fly to center to put Georgia up 6-0 from a Sito run. The lead grew in the fifth after Goulder reached base off of a double and an error by the catcher let her reach home in a later play. Griffin then hit Swafford in to make the score 8-0.

Georgia closed the game in the sixth after Sandberg's second long ball of the season brought in herself and Sito.

Game Two-NC State 3, Georgia 2

The Bulldogs took their first loss of the season in the final game of the weekend, as NC State rallied to a 3-2 win.

Morgan Montemayor (1-1) took the loss after striking out seven and giving up five hits. The sophomore also didn't allow a batter to reach base by a walk. The Wolfpack's Emily Weiman (3-1) received the win after notching 12 strikeouts, four hits and three walks.

Georgia jumped out early to a 1-0 lead in the first as Sito singled up the middle to bring in Griffin. Things continued in the second when Swafford singled to third and stole second. The Dallas, Ga., native then scored off of Pauly's double.

The home team kept NC State off of the board until the sixth inning where one run was added, but a Scout Albertson double in the seventh inning put the visitors on top by allowing two runs to score.

Georgia returns to action on Friday, as the team hosts the Georgia Softball Classic at Jack Turner Stadium. The Bulldogs take on Connecticut at 7 p.m.
