ATHENS-----The Georgia men's tennis team has added two tournaments to its 2012-13 schedule.

The Bulldogs will travel to Birmingham, Ala., for the Player's Choice Open Futures Oct. 22-26 at the Highland Park Tennis Center. This USTA event, which includes a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles field, will take the place of the Mansfield, Texas Futures.

The SEC Coaches' Indoor Tournament has been canceled and replaced on the Georgia schedule by the National Collegiate Tennis Classic Jan. 18-21 in Palm Springs, Calif. The NCTC typically features several of the top college programs in the country. In 1997, the Bulldog duo of Hisham Hemeda and Eddie Jacques won the doubles title.

Sophomore Nathan Pasha leads the team this fall with a 9-2 singles record and four wins against ranked opponents. Senior KU Singh reached the semifinals of the ITA All-American Championships last week in Tulsa to earn a bid to the ITA National Indoor Championships in New York.

In doubles, Hernus Pieters and Ben Wagland have won seven out of eight matches. They won the doubles consolation title in Tulsa and will also travel to New York in November for the National Indoors.

Georgia will return to action Oct. 19-21 at the ITA Southeast Regional in Tallahassee, Fla.
