Former Bulldogs Advance At Atlanta Tennis Championships

NORCROSS, Ga. ----- Former Georgia tennis stars John Isner and Drake Bernstein won matches in the Atlanta Tennis Championships late Wednesday at the Racquet Club of the South.
In singles, the No. 3 seeded Isner defeated James Blake 7-6(8), 6-7(3), 7-5 to advance to the third round where he will face Yen-Hsun Lu . Incidentally, Isner and Blake are teaming up in the doubles draw and will play again Thursday against Alex Bogomolov and Matthew Ebden.
Bernstein, a senior on the 2010-11 Georgia team, and doubles partner Kevin King of Georgia Tech upset the No. 1 team of Scott Lipsky and Rajeev Ram 7-6(3), 6-3. The duo will move on the face Matthias Bachinger and Frank Moser in the second round.
