SHANGHAI, China --- Former Georgia diver Chris Colwill finished fourth in the men's 1-meter final Monday at the FINA Diving World Championships.
Colwill scored 427.15 points, less than 10 behind bronze medalist Pavlo Rosenberg of Germany, who scored 436.50. China's Li Shixin and He Min were first and second at 463.90 and 444.00.
Colwill had a consistent performance, scoring no lower than 67.50 points on any of his six dives. His best dive came in the last round, when he totaled 76.80 points on his reverse 2 ½ pike.
"It was a fun battle. I wish I could have gotten in the top three, but I was right there. I just need to polish a few things up. I was a little off on some things, and I didn't dive my best," Colwill said.
