UGA Athletic Association Hosts Career Fair

ATHENS, Ga. --- The University of Georgia Athletic Association hosted a career fair for student-athletes on Tuesday in the Butts-Mehre Building's Multi-Purpose Room.
Approximately 20 companies were in attendance to discuss career opportunities with Georgia's juniors, seniors, fifth-year students, graduate assistants and recent graduates.
"We appreciate representatives of these companies taking time from their busy schedules to assist our student-athletes with careers during these tough economic times," said Carla Williams, Georgia's Executive Associate Athletic Director, who oversees student services. "I was pleased so many student-athletes were able to take advantage of this. They were able to ask some questions, make some contacts and learn about some opportunities."
Participating in the career fair were Outdoor Advantage, Family Heritage, Waffle House, Oconee County School District, Peachtree Planning Corporation, Lonesource, Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Horizon Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation, Paychex Inc., LAD Truck Lines, Roehl Transport Inc., Barberitos, Mirko Pasta, Dunkin' Donuts, Payscape Advisors, Merrill Lynch, Snellings Walters Insurance Agency, Primerica, Hewlett-Packard, Northwest Exterminating, UGA Graduate School and UGA Sport Management Department.
