ATHENS, Ga. -- Ann Dylla came to Georgia with the dream of going to the NCAA tournament. In the past three seasons, the Georgia volleyball team has come up short, but Dylla, who is entering into her senior season this fall, is not ready to give up on her dream just yet.

The Bulldog senior's impact on the Georgia volleyball program has been nothing short of huge. Dylla hasn't just played in every Georgia match since arriving in Athens, she has started in every match, and now ranks ninth in career total blocks per set with 1.02.

Dylla's success in the classroom mirrors her success on the court, having been named to the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll, and Athletic Director's Honor Roll multiple times throughout her career.

Georgia has been everything she thought it would be, and more.

"The support here both academically and athletically is bar none, and I'm really excited about the new staff," said Dylla. "I think they're great, and have really enjoyed getting to know all of them."

Though getting a new coaching staff heading into a senior season could have been a tough piece of adversity, Dylla says that the change has brought a new energy, and given tons of reason for optimism.

That extra boost of energy has been critical to helping in getting through the rigorous, sometimes monotonous, off-season workouts to get to ready for one final season.

"My main goal this spring has been staying healthy and just maintaining my body so that I'm healthy for that final push," Dylla explained.

For the 6-1 senior from Littleton, Co., the last three seasons have flown by, "It's really weird to know that this is my last year of competition," Dylla said. "My career has gone by too fast. It's just been like a big dream."

Though her time at Georgia is quickly coming to an end, she still has one dream left to achieve--to get to the NCAA tournament.

"[Getting to the NCAA tournament] has been one of my goals since freshman year and we've been close for the past three years," said Dylla. "That's just something I would love to leave here knowing that I've done."

With the hard work of the off-season, the energy of a new coaching staff, and the career-long dream of senior, Dylla's hoping for the storybook ending to a near-storybook career--a trip to the NCAA tournament.
