Georgia Swimmers And Divers Garner All-SEC Honors

ATHENS, Ga. --- Several members of the Georgia swimming and diving teams garnered All-Southeastern Conference honors based on their performances at the SEC Championships, according to an announcement by the league office.
Swimmers Morgan Scroggy, Chelsea Nauta, Melanie Margalis, Allison Schmitt, Shannon Vreeland and Wendy Trott earned First-Team honors by virtue of individual and/or relay wins. The All-SEC Second Team included Emily Montesinos and Megan Romano. The All-Freshmen Team, based on top-8 finishes, included Margalis, Vreeland and diver Ann-Perry Blank. As announced at the SECs, Jack Bauerle secured SEC Coach of the Year honors for the 13th time.
On the men's side, swimmers Bill Cregar, Mark Dylla and Martin Grodzki earned First-Team honors, while Will Freeman and Jameson Hill made the All-Freshmen Team.
ESPNU will air a highlights show from the women's portion of the SECs on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The Lady Bulldogs won the conference title for the second straight year and for the eighth time overall.
Georgia's divers will be hosting the NCAA Zone B Championships March 10-12 at Gabrielsen Natatorium. Next up for Georgia's teams will be the NCAA Championships. The Lady Bulldogs will compete in Austin, Texas, March 17-19, and the Bulldogs will be in action in Minneapolis, Minn., March 24-26.
