ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia men's tennis team is now accepting registrations for its 2011 Bulldog Tennis Camp. There are three sessions available, all held at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Session I runs from June 19-23, Session II from June 26-30, and Session III from July 17-21. All three include overnight and day camper options.
There is also a "bonus week" offered July 23-27 with associate head coach Will Glenn.
Head coach Manuel Diaz and his staff provide campers with the same championship instruction that has helped Georgia men's tennis to the NCAA championship in 1999, 2001, 2007, and 2008 under his guidance. Diaz, a three-time National Coach of the Year, has led Georgia to 19 SEC titles and is in his 23rd season at the helm.
Instruction is available for all levels of play. The objective is to provide campers with valuable life lessons of a good attitude, enthusiasm, and hard work within a fun environment. For beginners, basic fundamentals and stroke production will be emphasized. For the intermediate players, refinement of fundamentals - including footwork, grips, strokes, and strategy - will be stressed. Advanced players will be trained at the same intensity level at which the Georgia players practice.
Tuition includes room and board, all instruction, accident insurance, tournament matches, lectures, Red vs. Black dual meet, t-shirt and certificate.
More information on the camps - including instructions for registration and payment - can be found at the attached link or by clicking here. A PDF brochure is also attached.
