ATHENS -- The implementation of a text message-based communication system at Sanford Stadium for 2010 football games, beginning with the Louisiana-Lafayette game on Saturday, September 4, has been jointly announced by the University of Georgia and In Stadium Solutions (ISS).

The text messaging system allows fans to communicate directly with the stadium's command post if assistance is needed in dealing with any special needs inside the stadium. Should fans need assistance while inside the stadium, they can simply text "DAWGS the issue and location" to 69050. Standard data and SMS rates apply.

"We are excited to offer this technology to our guests of Sanford Stadium," said Matt Brachowski, Assistant Athletic Director of Event Management. "The ability to use this text messaging system will improve the ability to respond to our fans' concerns and enhance the fan experience and overall operations of Georgia football games."
