Tennis Standout Nathan Pasha Signs With Georgia

ATHENS-----Nathan Pasha, a five-star prospect from Atlanta, has signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Georgia and play in 2011-12 for the Bulldogs, UGA head men's tennis coach Manuel Diaz announced Tuesday.

Pasha is the top-ranked prospect in the state of Georgia, No. 2 in the Southeast and fifth in the nation, according to TennisRecruiting.net.

"We are really excited to have signed Nathan, a top-notch, high-impact recruit," Diaz said. "We expect a lot of big things from him based on his raw talent. I expect him to make great contributions while he is here at Georgia."

Pasha competed in the men's doubles draw of the 2010 US Open and was also doubles champion of the 2010 USTA Boys' 18s National Hard Court Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich. He has won numerous national opens including the USTA Boys' 14s National Winter Championship. He plans to major in sport management at UGA.

The NCAA Early Signing Period began Nov. 10 and concludes Wednesday.
