Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt:

On the victory...

"It feels real good. The guys prepared hard and they played with the mental attitude they needed to have. They played the full 60 minutes. I am proud of them. I am thankful for the victory. I feel good right now." On scoring off turnovers...

"That's the whole idea, to try to get it into the end zone. We had a couple of times we'd like to have touchdowns instead of field goals, but when you get points, that's the best thing that can happen." On sticking together...

"You can't play the way we did today unless the guys are sticking together. They are still working and still believing and still doing what the coaches say. If we continue to do that, we've got a chance to win next week." On Aaron Murray...

"He's growing. He's really doing a good job. He made good decisions and was accurate today. He made very few mental errors."

On Tennessee's rushing total...

"It's a real tribute to the defense that got serious about being physical and tough up front. They forced Tennessee into some passing situations that way, and when they did, we took advantage of that too."

On A.J. Green...

"He's a playmaker. There's no doubt about it."

Redshirt Freshman Quarterback, #11 Aaron Murray

On the team's performance in today's game...

"We knew that we were capable of coming out and playing like this. We've played like this before, but we haven't been able to get it into the end zone. Today, we were able to put some good drives together and score, which is big for us. The goal all week has been to come out and finish on third downs, and we did a great job with that today." On Georgia's wide receivers...

"It's great to have guys who can go out and make big plays, big catches like that. Today, they were able to make guys miss after the catch, which is big." Junior Flanker, #8 A.J. Green

On the team winning today after starting 1-4...

"We never fell apart throughout all of this. We are going to keep fighting and keep being physical. We just had a great week of practice, and it really helped us today."

On redshirt freshman quarterback Aaron Murray...

"Aaron is such a special guy. I've been saying that since day one. Some of the stuff he can do is just amazing - stuff that some older quarterbacks can't even do."

On looking ahead to next week...

"We are just going to come in each week and be physical, work hard and come out with the win."

Senior Defensive End, #58 DeMarcus Dobbs

On the Georgia defensive performance...

"We were resilient. We got them in punt situations and we got off the field in third downs. That's what we have to do to be successful.

On the first defensive series of the game...

"As players, we told each other that we have to get off the field on the first series and get the offense the ball. We can't keep playing from behind."

Junior Outside Linebacker, #42 Justin Houston

On his two sacks...

"It felt really good, but I felt like I could have done better. I'm still beating myself up over the sack I missed on their touchdown.

TENNESSEE POST-GAME QUOTES

Tennessee Head Coach Derek Dooley:

"We ran into a motivated team today. When you fumble four times in the first half, it makes it hard to hang in there with the other team. We got affected on the road and couldn't keep our composure. We are not going to win with those types of turnovers. Our growing pains reared its ugly head today. They started drives on our side of the field, and we didn't handle that well. We need to step up there and make a stop. We are just not stopping anybody right now. I'm not sure if that's just growing pains. I just think we are not very good right now. We need to make them earn it. They were hungry and ready to play. That's what we expected Georgia to be like at the beginning of the season. I was disappointed in how we competed. It's easy to take a loss if you are competing. We obviously weren't ready emotionally from start to finish. "

Junior Quarterback, #2 Matt Simms

On today's game...

"They out executed us today. These were two teams that obliviously wanted to win. Perhaps we were too focused on winning and lost sight of what it takes to win. That is probably the most talented one-and-four defense I have ever seen. We were pressing at times and that's not uncommon when you play on the road. We just kept trying to push the ball downfield. Our leaders need to do a better job of not forcing the plays. We turned the ball over early, and tried to retain our composure. We believe in our game plan. We just need to do a better job of executing it. That's just the way the game goes sometimes."

Junior Tailback, #28 Tauren Poole

On Tennessee's performance against Georgia...

"We need to do a better job of overcoming adversity. There were a lot of costly turnovers. We've got to a better job of picking up the slack. We are capable of playing good football. It's just all about the little things. It's about competing on every down. We didn't match their energy on the field. They really brought it today, and we underestimated them. We really have no choice but to move forward, and we need to stay focused on the team. It showed out there that we still have a lot of work to do. They started strong, and we weren't able to respond."

Senior Linebacker, #56 Nick Reveiz

On facing adversity and Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray...

"Adversity came early and often. We have to do a better job of containing Aaron Murray. We knew he was fast but just did not do a good job of containing him. We played a very emotional first half, but we really got deflated by halftime. We just can't be affected by emotion."
