Georgia Baseball Moves Up To No. 2

ATHENS, Ga. --- On the heels of a three-game sweep at Arizona, the Georgia baseball team has moved up to No. 2 in the Collegiate Baseball and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association of America polls.

Georgia (8-0) is off to its best start since 2000 and currently leads the SEC in batting average (.377), hits (114), doubles (25) and on-base percentage (.480). The Bulldogs outscored Arizona 33-15 last weekend and outhit the Wildcats 49-25. Georgia scored double-digits in each game of a three-game road series for just the second time in school history.

The Bulldogs play host to Wofford Wednesday at Foley Field at 6 p.m.
