"In The Dugout" With Freshman Lisaira Daniels

ATHENS, Ga. With the 2009 Georgia softball season underway, fans can get to know the newest members of the Bulldog softball team with "In The Dugout" features on Georgiadogs.com.

The Georgia softball program welcomed 10 freshmen to the team this season, and the Bulldogs are off to a 12-1 start after the first four weeks of play and return to action this weekend at the Easton SEC/Pac-10/Big 12 Challenge in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The eighth installment in this year's "In The Dugout" question and answer series is with Lisaira Daniels, an outfielder from Newnan, Ga., who is majoring in Exercise & Sports Science.

Question: Why Georgia?
Answer: The atmosphere and all the academic opportunities it has.

Q: Who is your all-time hero in athletics?
A: Ken Griffey, Jr.

Q: What is your most memorable moment in sports?
A: Scoring the winning run my senior year in high school to take us to state.

Q: You wear number 18 because...
A: I've worn it since my freshman year in high school because it was the last small left and it just stuck.

Q: What is your favorite animal?
A: Dolphin.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete?
A: Dwayne Wade.

Q: What celebrity would you most like to meet?
A: Morgan Freeman.

Q: Who is your favorite singer/musical group?
A: Ne-Yo.

Q: What song best represents you?
A: "All Around Me" by Flyleaf 

Q: What TV/movie character are you most like?
A: Susie from Rugrats.

Q: Do you have a favorite food or meal?
A: Spaghetti.

A: Jesus, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Rosa Parks.

A: Orlando, Fla.

Q: What is one thing that you've never been able to do, but you want to someday?
A: Scuba diving.
