Larry Munson broadcasted Georgia football games since 1966.  He also called the play-by-play for Georgia basketball from 1987-96.  His dramatic style and unabashed partisanship for the Bulldogs have endeared him to generations of listeners.  Munson's legendary status was recognized in 2003 with the National Football Foundation on Chris Schenkel Award.
Starting at the age of 20, Munson has built  a career that covers  a wide range of sporting events.  Not only has he called the shots for major-college football, but he's also broadcasted major- and minor-league baseball, as well as college basketball.  He also spent 23 years on a weekly fishing show and served a stint as a Nashville, Tenn., disc jockey.
Before he became the "Voice of the Dogs," Munson had established one of the most reputable careers in sports broadcasting.  He served as the play-by-play announcer for University of Wyoming football and basketball, the Nashville Vols of the Southern Association (baseball), Vanderbilt football and basketball for 16 years and was a member of the original Atlanta Braves broadcast team when they moved from Milwaukee.  Munson, in fact, got the Georgia football broadcasting job just after he had arrived in Florida for spring training with that first Braves team.
A native of Minnesota, Munson was honored by the Georgia General Assembly in 1993 for "his great role in the Georgia championship football program."

Scott Howard

The voice of Scott Howard has become synonymous with Georgia athletics.  As sports director for Athens radio stations WNGC and WGAU, he returns for his 15th season (2008) behind the microphone at both Georgia football and basketball games.  A color analyst alongside Munson in the football booth, Howard has served as the Georgia basketball team's primary play-by-play reporter since the 1997 season.  Last season, he broadcasted play-by-play action from all of Georgia's road football games, including the 2008 Allstate Sugar Bowl.
