Carrie Patterson
WSOC
Junior
Atlanta, Ga.

Junior Forward Carrie Patterson scored twice
in the Bulldog’s 2-0 victory over the Tennessee
Lady Vols on Friday. The pair of goals moved
Patterson into a tie for first on the career all-time
goals scored list with 33 goals, it was also her first
multi-goal game of the season.

Carrie’s first goal came only 21 seconds into the
game, which ties the second-fastest any Georgia
player has scored a goal. Her second goal came
from a Megan Tomlinson cross early in the second
half. On the receiving end, Patterson had only the
keeper in her way which was not enough for the
Lady Vols to hold off her second goal of the night.

In Georgia’s previous match against Alabama,
Carrie Patterson earned three points to give her 80
in her career, passing Mandy Aiken’s record of 78.

The Bulldog’s regular season has concluded and
their next step is the SEC Tournament in Orange
Beach, Alabama. The Bulldogs received seeding
of #4 and will play #5 South Carolina in the first
round. The winner of this match will encounter the
winner of #1 Florida and #8 Alabama.
