Will You Ever Be An Olympian Coach?

Suzanne: Based on all your success with the Gymdogs, have you ever given any thought to coaching the womens' gymnastics team in the Olympics? I'm sure if you packed the roster with Gymdogs that the US would come back with a gold. Thanks for all you've done for UGA.

Dear Carl:

In order to be considered as the Olympic gymnastics coach, you must have an athlete on the team. Since my coaching career is coming to an end in one year, I guess it is reasonable to say, I will never be the Olympic Coach.

I did, though, have a wonderful experience coaching internationally in the World University Games in Yugoslavia back in the eighties.

And, I am proud to say that the University of Georgia has its own Jack Bauerle coaching the US Swim Team in Beijing...right now.
