June 12, 2000 - Former University of Georgia legendary athletes Bill Stanfill, Lucy Wener, Alec Kessler, and Spurgeon "Spud" Chandler have been selected for induction into the UGA Athletic Association Circle of Honor, the highest tribute paid to former Bulldog athletes or coaches.

June 12, 2004 - Georgia completes a two-game sweep of #3 Ga. Tech in Atlanta, winning 5-3 to advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.. The Bulldogs would tie for third and end the season ranked fourth nationally.
