ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia's Krystle Caithness (left) and Garrett Phillips (bottom left) were named honorable mention All-America during the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) banquet following the conclusion of the NCAA Championships.

Caithness, a freshman from St. Andrews, Scotland, and Phillips, a senior from St. Simons Island, Ga., both posted team highs of four top-10 and six top-20 individual finishes during the season.

Caithness led the Bulldogs with 11 par-or-better rounds during the 2007-08 campaign and posted a best individual effort of fourth at the NCAA East Regional. She has been chosen to represent Great Britain and Ireland in the Curtis Cup, which will begin Friday in St. Andrews.

Phillips recorded a team-best stroke average of 74.15 and also led Georgia with 92.6 percent counting rounds. Two of her four top-10s came during NCAA competition. Phillips tied for 10th at the East Regional and finished third at the NCAA Championships while averaging 72.71 in seven NCAA rounds.

Caithness and Phillips are the 24th and 25th Bulldogs to garner All-America recognition, with those golfers earning a combined 50 All-America certificates.

Georgia tied for 10th at the 2008 NCAA Championships, the Bulldogs' ninth top-10 finish in the last 11 seasons. Phillips' third-place showing was the 20th all-time individual top-10 effort by Bulldog golfers at the national championships.
