Lady Bulldog NCAA Sendoff Planned

ATHENS, Ga. --- Fans wishing to encourage the Georgia Lady Bulldog Basketball team in the upcoming NCAA Tournament are invited to cheer the squad on when they depart on Friday afternoon.
The Lady Bulldogs are slated to leave from the loading dock of UGA's new basketball practice facility on Friday at 5:45 p.m. The first 150 fans in attendance will receive a free Georgia Lady Dogs t-shirt.
Georgia will face Iowa in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m. in Norfolk, Va. The Lady Bulldogs and Hawkeyes will meet 30 minutes following the conclusion of the session's first game between North Carolina and Bucknell, which begins at noon.
The Lady Dogs will be participating in their 25th NCAA Tournament, the second-most of any school in the nation. Georgia has appeared in 14 straight editions of "March Madness" and advanced to the "Sweet 16" round of the last five tourneys.
