Georgia Baseball Resumes Practice Friday, Season Opens Feb. 22

ATHENS, Ga. --- The University of Georgia Bulldog baseball team begins final preparations for the 2008 season when practice resumes Friday, Feb. 1.
The Bulldogs will hold a six-inning scrimmage at 4 p.m. at Foley Field, and it is free and open to the public. Juniors Trevor Holder and Stephen Dodson will start for the two squads and pitch two innings apiece. Then, sophomore Justin Earls and senior Nick Montgomery will toss two innings followed by senior Joshua Fields and sophomore Dean Weaver. The team is tentatively scheduled to scrimmage again Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Georgia opens the season here Feb. 22 against top-ranked Arizona.
