Where's Megan D.?
I thought she was almost back from a sprain, but then other girls that I thought were surely out for at least one competition, have actually competed and still no Megan. Your seniors are awesome and we could use Megan on beam and vault big-time. Fingers crossed that all is well with Megan.
Dear Mike: Thanks for asking about Megan. Line ups are determined by practice and Megan has been unable to run for about a month now. For some odd reson, her Achilles swelled up and she was in too much pain to do much of anything. Yesterday was actually thie first day in over a month that she was able to do layouts on vault. On beam, she has trouble with some of the skills because she cannot do the repetitions needed. When she works beam first, she cannot vault and vice versa.
She has had x-rays, etc. and they cannot find anything substantial wrong. Megan is frustrated as she wants to compete. She knows that when she can do the work out, she will go in. I have faith that she will be able to work through this. And yes, I always want our seniors to compete.
