Is There A Men's Gymnastics Team At UGA

I was wondering if there's a men's gymnastics team? I have not heard of one.

Dear Lauren:

No, there is no longer a men’s team at the University of Georgia. In 1983, when I arrived at Georgia, there was a men’s team. The coach was Steve Bonham and we all practiced together in the same facility. Two years later, Vince Dooley decided to eliminate the men’s team due to Title IX issues of needing to have equal numbers in terms of men and women athletes.
