KELIN JOHNSON
Kelin has been selected as a Coca Cola Community All American. He is one of 11 players nationwide named to the American Football Coaches Association 2007 Good Works Team. The award honors players for their dedication and commitment to community service. He has volunteered for HERO for a Day activities a non profit dedicated to improving the quality of life of children affected by HIV/AIDS, assisted on programs working with children with disabilities through Camp Wellsprings and Project REACH, is a mentor with Boys and Girls Clubs’ of Athens, volunteered in Athens with Habitat for Humanity home builds, and contributed to numerous local programs and activities by taking advantage of speaking opportunities at their events. |

*Made five solo tackles, four on kickoffs, in the win over LSU
*Named recipient of the Defensive Newcomer of the Year Award, Unknown Soldier Award (players who unselfishly sacrifice to prepare the team for each game), and Special Teams Performance Award (vs. Kentucky) at the conclusion of the ’04 season
*Team went 10-2 capped by an Outback Bowl victory
High School: Mainland, coached by John Maronto
*Florida Sports Writers Association Class AAAAA First Team All-State
*Four-year starter at DB, played two years of quarterback as well
*Transferred after his junior year from Atlantic High School where he played quarterback and defensive back, 850 yards rushing, 750 passing
*Recorded 105 tackles and three interceptions and one blocked punt as a senior as team won state title in AAAAA
*Defensive MVP honors at both Miami and UCF summer camps in 2003
