| BIOGRAPHY:◊ After gradually gaining confidence throughout her redshirt freshman season, hopes for even greater production on every level during the upcoming campaign. ◊ Will look for more consistent contributions after a relatively feast or famine freshman year in the scoring column which featured 14 double-digit games but 10 outings of two points or less. 2006-07 Season ◊ Recovered nicely from a torn ACL in her left knee which caused her to miss 2005-06. ◊ Named to the Freshman All-SEC team, joining Ashley Houts and Christy Marshall to become the first trio of classmates to be recognized. ◊ Tabbed second-team pre-season All-SEC in balloting at SEC Media Days. ◊ Selected as SEC Freshman of the Week on both Dec. 18 (after Savannah State and TCU) and on Feb. 5 (after LSU). ◊ Among SEC individual statistical leaders, finished the year ranked No. 6 in field goal pct. and No. 13 in blocks. ◊ Poured 13 second-half points at Georgia Southern while hitting 6-of-9 FGs. ◊ Sprained left ankle in the second half vs. Stanford, hence the Memphis DNP. ◊ Enjoyed her most solid overall linescore against TCU, equaling or establishing career highs for points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. ◊ Became the 60th freshman and the third member of her class to start for Andy Landers at UGA when she got the nod at George Mason. ◊ Scored 12 second-half points versus LSU in Athens, including six straight which pushed a one-point lead to seven. ◊ Recorded her first career double-double at Alabama. ◊ A major defensive presence in Georgia's first- and second-round wins of the NCAA Tournament, swatting a career-high three shots against both Belmont and Iowa State. ◊ Finished the season with one of her better outings, a 14-point performance on 7-of-9 shooting against Purdue in the "Sweet 16." 2005-06 Season ◊ Tore the ACL in her left knee just 114 seconds after checking into exhibition opener against Augusta State and subsequently redshirted. ◊ Underwent surgery to repair her knee on Dec. 20 and first traveled with the Lady Bulldogs to the Tennessee game on Jan. 12. ◊ Rehabilitation progressed to light on-court shooting by the time the NCAA Tournament arrived in March. |
