Bulldogs Place Sixth At Carpet Capital Collegiate

ROCKY FACE, Ga. --- The third-ranked Georgia mens golf team finished sixth in the Carpet Capital Collegiate on Sunday at The Farm Golf Club.
The Bulldogs wound up at 18-over-par 882, including a 2-over 290 in the final round. Georgia finished 13 shots behind Alabama, which won on the first playoff hole with South Carolina.
Junior Adam Mitchell and freshman Russell Henley paced the Bulldogs individually as they tied for seventh place at 1-under 215. Mitchell closed with a 4-under 68 and Henley had a final-round 1-under 71. Medalist honors went to Georgia Techs Chesson Hadley at 208.
Junior Brian Harman finished 53rd at 11-over 227, including a final-round 4-over 76. Freshman Harris English placed 56th with a 12-over 228 as he
closed with a 5-over 77. Sophomore Hudson Swafford completed the Bulldogs' lineup at 13-over 229, shooting a 3-over 75 on Sunday.
The Bulldogs will return to action Oct. 7-9 at the inaugural Brickyard Collegiate Championship in Macon.
