June 15, 1999 - The University of Georgia placed second in the 1998-99 NCAA Division I Sears Directors' Cup standings. The finish was the best ever for Georgia in the Sears Directors' Cup Competition. The Bulldogs finished seventh in 1998 and 11th in 1997. The Sears Directors' Cup is presented annually by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) to the best overall collegiate athletics program in the country.
