UGA Athletic Board Approves New Student Ticket Policy

ATHENS, Ga. --- A new student ticket policy was approved by the University of Georgia Athletic Board highlighting the Board’s quarterly meeting this week.
The Board also approved a $70 million Athletic Association budget for 2007-08.
Under the new ticket policy, all students must be registered for a minimum of 12 hours for the fall semester to be eligible for the discounted student season ticket which can be purchased for $56.00 (7 games). There are approximately 18,000 tickets allotted for students.
Other news from the Board meeting included:
** Georgia extended its contract with Nike for footwear and apparel by eight years and increasing the product allotment by about $1 million per year.
** Staff title changes announced for Frank Crumley from Sr. Associate Athletic Director to Executive Associate Athletic Director and for Carla Williams from Associate Athletic Director to Sr. Associate Athletic Director.
** The Athletic Association has surpassed its goal of $60 million toward the Investing in Champions campaign. The drive has raised $65 million to date with one year remaining.
** An allocation of $350,000 was approved for new high-definitioin video boards on the Stegeman Coliseum floor for basketball
