Middleton, Maust, Frazier Chosen As Role Models

ATHENS, Ga.--- The Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America has selected University of Georgia student-athletes Kellie Middleton, Claire Maust and Natalie Frazier as Peach of an Athlete Role Models.

Middleton, an All-America softball player, has been named the top female honoree of the 2007 Peach of An Athlete Class. Maust, a swimmer, and Frazier, a tennis player, are All-Americans in their respective sports and previously have been recognized for academic and community service accomplishments.

The Atlanta Area Council will recognize this years class at the 24th Annual Awards Banquet on Thursday at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta.

Middleton is the latest Georgia student-athlete to be named a top honoree by the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Past Bulldog winners include: David Greene (05 football), Corrie Drakulich (04 track & field), Jon Stinchcomb (03 football), Kim Black (01 swimming & diving), Brad Register (00 football), Andy DeVooght (97 swimming & diving), Brian Smith (96 football), Tracy Collett (92 swimming & diving), Vicki Goetze (91 golf), Alec Kessler (90 basketball) and Kevin Butler (85 football).
