UGA Student-Athletes Earn SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll

ATHENS, Ga. --- Fourteen University of Georgia soccer and volleyball student-athletes were recently named to the 2006-2007 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive. The fourteen selected athletes include eleven soccer players and three volleyball players.

The honor is based on academic performance from the 2006 Spring, Summer and Fall terms.

The soccer players honored are Sarah Brown, senior, Art, Asheville, North Carolina; Catherine Bruce, senior, Speech Communication, Decatur; Lauren Church, senior, Exercise & Sport Science, Hagerstown, Maryland; Sarah Darvill, senior, Accounting, Bogart; Lena Franklin, senior, Psychology, Leesburg, Virginia; Kristin Garman, sophomore, Speech Communication, Nashville, Tennessee; Elizabeth Kleuter, senior, Public Relations, Marietta; Ashley Stinson, junior, Exercise & Sport Science, Acworth; Megan Tomlinson, sophomore, Business, Atlanta; Joni Vickers, junior, Finance, Peachtree City; and Kelly Whitaker, senior, Marketing, High Point, North Carolina.

The volleyball players recognized are Brooke Burlingame, junior, Accounting, New Orleans, Louisiana; Anjelica Partridge, sophomore, Journalism, Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Maria Taylor, sophomore, Business, Alpharetta.
