Linebacker Hebron Suspended For Two Games
February 26, 2007 | Football
ATHENS --- University of Georgia freshman linebacker Akeem Hebron has been suspended for the first two games of the 2007 season as a result of his arrest early Sunday morning on charges of underage possession of alcohol.
UGA head coach Mark Richt said Hebron will also have internal discipline and community service work imposed in addition to the two-game suspension.
“We regard this as a serious matter,” said Richt. “There are team rules as well as civil laws that have to be adhered to. Akeem will have to pay a price and hopefully he has learned a lesson that will serve him not only during his college career but also for the rest of his life.”
