Courtney Kupets Again Named SEC Gymnast Of The Week

Kupets won all four events and captured the all-around with a 39.675 in Georgia's win over No. 4 Utah. Her score is the highest in the all-around for a Gym Dog this year and is tied for highest in the SEC.
Against Utah, Kupets scored a 9.925 on the vault to tie for first place. She also tied for first on floor with a 9.9. Kupets won the bars with a 9.95 and the balance beam with a 9.9.
Kupets currently holds the No. 1 national ranking on the balance beam and is No. 2 on the uneven bars.
Kupets was named Gymnast of the Week three times last season. Georgia junior Katie Heenan won the award earlier this season.
Heenan is rated as the top gymnast in the country this week by GymInfo. She holds the No. 1 ranking in the all-around and floor exercise.
Sophomore Tiffany Tolnay is No. 4 in the all-around and No. 5 on floor. Freshman Grace Taylor is ranked in a tie for ninth on the balance beam and ninth on the uneven bars.
Second-ranked Georgia (9-0-1) returns to action when it hosts No. 12 Auburn on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Stegeman Coliseum.
