December 29, 1987 - Freshman kicker John Kasay nailed a 39-yard field goal with no time on the clock to lift Georgia to a 20-17 win over Arkansas in the Liberty Bowl. James Jackson ran for 72 yards and threw for 148 more to lead the Bulldog offense.

December 29, 1991 - Andre Hastings caught four passes for 94 yards, ran for 53 yards, and scored a touchdown as UGA football won the Independence Bowl over Arkansas, 24-15. QB Eric Zeier also put up great numbers as he threw for 228 yards and 2 TD's.
