Ashley Pauly Signs With Georgia Softball

December 27, 2007 | Softball

ATHENS, Ga. Ashley Pauly, an infielder from Kennesaw, Ga., has signed a national letter-of-intent to attend the University of Georgia and play softball for the Bulldogs, head coach Lu Harris-Champer announced on Thursday.

Pauly helped guide Kennesaw Mountain High School to a Class 5A Region Championship in 2007, a year in which she was named to the All-County and All-Region teams as well as being a Marietta Daily Journal Athlete of the Week. In 2006, Pauly was named to the All-County, All-Region and All-State teams. She is a four-year letter winner and a three-time reception of the Kennesaw Mountain’s Golden Glove Award.

“Ashley is a middle infielder who hits from the left side,” Harris-Champer said. “She plays the game with great poise. She is one of those players who can always counted on to get the job done on defense and at the plate.”

Pauly plays travel softball for the East Cobb Bullets and basketball for Kennesaw Mountain. She was twice named the Most Valuable Player on the basketball squad. Pauly is an academic honor roll member who earned the Character Award three times and the Highest Academic Achievement Award two times.
