No. 2 seeded Bulldog falls in straight sets.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior Travis Helgeson (Overland Park, Kan.), of the University of Georgia men's tennis team, was upset in the first round of singles play at the ITA Indoor National Championships Thursday.

Helgeson, who won the ITA All-American National Championship earlier this year in an outdoor setting, was the tournament's No. 2 seed. He was taken down by Denver's Adam Holmstrom, 6-3, 7-5. This tournament marked Helgeson's first indoor match of the fall.

Of the eight seeded players in the 32-man tournament, five of them were upset in first-round action.

Six other members of the Bulldog men's tennis team will compete at the FSU Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla., beginning Friday. The drawsheets and schedule for that tournament have not yet been released.
