Getting to Know Georgia Volleyball Student-Athlete Brooke Peugh

Throughout the 2007 volleyball season, both volleyball fans and Bulldog fans alike can get to know members of the UGA volleyball team with question and answer sessions being featured on Georgiadogs.com on Mondays and Wednesdays. Brooke Peugh, a native of Glendale, Ariz., is a junior middle hitter for the Bulldogs and is part eight-of-16 in the series.
Question: What is your favorite thing about the sport of volleyball?
Answer: The competitive nature and the teamwork.
Q: What is your earliest volleyball memory?
A: Trying to learn how to pass the ball in 7th grade.
Q: What volleyball memory stands out the most for you?
A: Playing Florida at Florida for the first time.
Q: Who is your most influential role model(s)?
A: My mom.
Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete?
A: Kerri Walsh.
Q: Do you have a favorite type of music you listen to?
A: I love country.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
Q: Do you have a favorite food or meal?
A: I really like Mexican food.
Q: What is your favorite holiday?
A: Christmas.
Q: What was your favorite TV show growing up?
A: Full House.
Q: What is your favorite TV show now? Do you have a favorite character on that show?
A: The Hills; Lauren Conrad.
Q: Name one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you.
A: I played violin for eight years.
Q: Who was your favorite teacher and what was your favorite subject in high school?
A: Mrs. Somers and my newspaper class.
Q: What is your favorite quote/saying?
A: “Go hard or go home.”
Q: What would be your dream job?
A: Promoting the AVP tour.
The Georgia volleyball team (13-5, 4-4) will return to the court on the road this weekend with contests in Starkville, Miss., on Friday against the Mississippi State Bulldogs (6-11, 1-7) at 8 p.m. ET, and in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Sunday against the Alabama Crimson Tide (8-9, 5-3) at 2:30 p.m.
