WINDERMERE, Fla.--- The fourth-ranked Georgia men's golf team is tied for ninth place after one round of the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational.

On Sunday, the Bulldogs had a team score of 3-over-par 291. Georgia is seven shots behind tri-leaders Oklahoma State, Central Florida and Southern Cal,
all at 4-under 284.

Sophomore Hudson Swafford paced the Bulldogs in the first round with a 1-under 71. Swafford is tied for 17th individually and he is three shots in back of East Tennessee's Rhys Enoch, Central Florida's Greg Forest and Southern Cal's Jamie Lovemark, all of whom signed for a 4-under 68.

The Bulldogs also counted an even-par 72 from freshman Harris English and 2-over 74s from juniors Brian Harman and Adam Mitchell. Freshman Russell Henley had Georgia's non-counting round of 5-over 77.

"It's not the way we had hoped to get started, but there's plenty of golf left to be played," Georgia coach Chris Haack said. "We are not out of it by any stretch of the imagination. We just have to settle down and try to make up some ground over the next couple of days."

The 54-hole tournament will continue on Monday and will conclude on Tuesday. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
